“Blast off!  The U.S. Post Office was introducing a new stamp which highlighted Space Achievement and Exploration at the 2000 Expo. Designing a sculptured space man brought attention to their trade show booth which tied the theme together.

The Balancing Act

Created for a major industry competition, this 14-foot Jester sculpture, titled ‘The Balancing Act,’ represents the pinnacle of technical balloon engineering. Built on a custom-bent aluminum rod foundation and featured on a motorized electric turntable, this piece showcases a specialized ‘nesting’ weave I developed using Bee-Body balloons to create a perfectly smooth, seamless texture. Out of 500 industry attendees, only one recognized the complexity of the material—proving that true artistry lies in the details no one else sees.

A collaborative large-scale red balloon Toyota logo sculpture featured on stage at the Special Olympics World Games 'Reach Up LA' event alongside a branded Toyota Camry by The Balloon Biz of Boise
Big visions require great partnerships. For Toyota’s ‘Reach Up LA’ celebration at the Special Olympics World Games, I partnered with a fellow industry professional to deliver high-impact, large-scale branding. This collaborative effort ensured that the iconic Toyota logo and supporting decor were perfectly executed to meet the demands of an international stage. It’s a prime example of our ability to scale operations and work seamlessly within a larger production team to create unforgettable event milestones.
A life-sized silver balloon astronaut sculpture created for the World Stamp Expo 2000 at the Anaheim Convention Center, commemorating the Space Achievement and Exploration stamp series by The Balloon Biz of Boise

Commissioned for the World Stamp Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center, this sculpture celebrated the U.S. Postal Service’s introduction of the ‘Space Achievement and Exploration’ stamps. This life-sized astronaut was designed to reflect the spirit of discovery, standing as a high-impact focal point for thousands of international collectors and attendees. This project represents our long-standing history of creating custom-themed art for major governmental and convention-scale exhibitions.

A red and white spiraled balloon heart sculpture on a silver foil balloon backdrop, serving as a welcome entrance for a Ralphs corporate event.

Creating a warm welcome for corporate teams requires a balance of brand identity and celebratory spirit. For this Ralphs Grocery Store event, I designed a multi-textured heart installation featuring a high-shine silver foil backdrop and a classic red-and-white spiraled heart focal point. Positioned at the main entrance, this piece served as the visual anchor for their ‘Customer 1st Promise Teams’ gathering, proving that even in a large corporate lobby, professional balloon art can make a space feel personal and inviting.

A vibrant, oversized wearable balloon fish 'battling' with local police officers at the City of Nampa Fishing Derby, showcasing community engagement through interactive art.
Our sculptures don’t just stand still—they move. For the City of Star’s annual Fishing Derby, I was commissioned for two years to create a custom wearable mascot that could engage with thousands of attendees. Whether it’s ‘battling’ with local law enforcement for a photo op or leading a parade of smiles, these kinetic pieces transform balloon art into a living, breathing part of the event’s entertainment
